Turn off the car alarm. Clean up the watermelon. Find out whose car that is. If it’s Stanley’s, call my lawyer and ask him if he handles hate crimes. Disassemble the trampoline and put it in the bailer.

I believe what we are seeing is the beginning of a new trend: application-centric computing using inexpensive, small form-factor, low-power platforms, linked or not to the network, to address a new set of interesting needs. It’s a good time to be a hobbyist.

Quicksilver

Wow.  If you’re a Mac user, do go ahead and download  Quicksilver and give it a try.  It’s amazing.

It can read your mind.  Type stuff and it brings things forth from your computer.  Kind of like Spotlight on speed.  This is the application Steve Jobs wished Apple invented.

 Thanks, Arjen.

Your perception of a thing that is a viable problem to think about is shaped by the tool you can use.
— Google Earth CTO Michael Jones As quoted from Geeking with Greg

This is good stuff. But the opposite is also true. If you think about the tool you might be able to use, you can solve some impossible problems. Somewhere in here, there’s also the need to focus tools on specific problems, rather than general issues. Focus on the impossible, and make a tool that makes it possible.
